Mentors
Our mentors have the professional qualifications, skills and experience to support students with mental health issues, ADHD, Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome and chronic illness and physical disability.
All our mentors working with DSA students are fully compliant with DSA-QAG Quality Assurance Framework requirements, are fully insured and appropriately trained in safeguarding and health and safety. Equality Focus regularly reviews the work of its mentors to ensure that high levels of professionalism and quality are maintained. Our mentors engage in regular continuing professional development activities and peer supervision to ensure their own ongoing development.

What our students say about our mentors
Quite simply, my mentor and Equality Focus turned my life around. I could never have achieved my 1st Class BA English degree without their support. |
I really appreciate the ideas, advice and strategies that my mentor has given me. She keeps me motivated so after each session I always feel I have the motivation to do my work. |
My mentor is a fantastic support worker and she has helped me get my work and my health back on track. |
